Mortifer is a knowledge-based competitive shooter Play to Earn game, compounded with blockchain technology. Players fight each other, with the outcome of the battle determined by the proper weapon and utility card selection and strategy.
Everything in the game depends on the player’s decision; the game does not feature any randomisation whatsoever. The key elements are choosing the right configuration before the battles, maintaining rapid situational awareness and choosing a good strategy.

MORT is an in-game currency, not a cryptocurrency. This game coin can be converted from USDT. The Battle Mode can only be played by using MORT.
NIL
NILs can be requested any time. This currency does not have any value, and can be only used for the Training Mode, where players do not need to own an NFT. A wallet connection still is necessary, though.

MORT coins can be purchased on the game’s website. If you choose the Battle Mode, you need to pay an entry fee using MORT coins, thereby gaining access to a battle. You can then purchase weapons and utility cards in the value equal to the entry fee. A high percentage of the entry fee will be distributed among the winners at the end of a battle as prizes. Only players owning an NFT fighter can enter this game mode.
Training Mode (playable with NIL)
You are offered this free game mode in certain Arenas, in which you can get to know the game and gain experience. The free game mode is exactly the same as the paid one, but players pay the entry fee and get the rewards in NIL coins. The NIL balance can be topped up any time to a maximum of $100. The free mode does not require an NFT, Mortifer Champions are available to all players in that. A wallet connection, however, is a prerequisite of the free game mode as well.

All Mortifer Champions have a lot of variations which are determined by their attribute values. The attributes of the fighters only change in the arena during the fight. When the fight is over, the attributes of a player resets to the default value of the NFT (to the same attribute as it was at the time of purchase).

The Leaderboard shows the players ranked based on their performance in the game. Its purpose is to increase competition between the players by generating exciting challenges and encouraging the players to work hard on their Mortifer Champions.

Mortifer uses the Polygon (MATIC) network. Polygon is a Layer 2 solution that works atop the Ethereum platform. Expensive 'gas' fees are no longer an issue.
